Sharing by Rahul Sharma from Manchester UK,
Highways workers have painted special 'thank you NHS' road
markings outside Tameside Hospital which they hope will 'bring a smile' to
heroic health staff.
The council's highways team have put the new markings -
including rainbows - on Fountain Street and Mellor Road in Ashton where
Tameside Hospital staff enter the grounds.
The message of support was created as part of work to build
a temporary 10-bed ward to meet increasing demand during the coronavirus
pandemic.
The prefabricated unit is located opposite Werneth House and
close to the emergency department, as a 'precautionary measure'.
During the build the council's operations and neighbourhoods
team cut back trees and made sure access was possible, and road-workers took
the opportunity to pay thanks to NHS workers on behalf of the borough.
