A Mancunian is self-isolating on a seven-acre campsite with
only ducks and chickens for company.
Neil Taylor, a former Timperley councillor, is currently
marooned on the site in Northumberland due to the coronavirus lockdown.
The 57-year-old was due to start work as a campsite warden
in Melkridge - near the Scottish border - in early April.
His plan was to work there for six months.
He went up to the campsite on Monday to do some groundwork,
just before Boris Johnson announced the nationwide lockdown.
And he's not going anywhere anytime soon.
The campsite is closed to the public so it means he is alone
with his own thoughts until it reopens.
Neil said he's quite content with his new set-up - but he's
missing his wife, Sandra Taylor, who has stayed at home in Altrincham.
The pair celebrated their 13th wedding anniversary on
Tuesday with a catch-up via video chat.
